Dr. Thompson has experience as a Senior Lecturer involved in postgraduate and undergraduate course development, management and teaching in psychology and counselling psychology.  She has lectured for large, medium and small sized classes throughout all academic levels.  She has supervised Undergraduate, Masters and Doctoral level research as well as assisted undergraduate and postgraduate students in research activities during their placements within the hospital and prison settings.  Maria was also the Placement Co-ordinator for the Doctoral Programme in Counselling Psychology at the University of Wolverhampton for several years as well as a module leader for a range of postgraduate and undergraduate psychology modules.  See some examples by selecting the button below.

Dr. Thompson is available for marking, research supervision or to develop and deliver specific teaching timeslots or entire modules for undergraduate and postgraduate psychology modules.  She would be particularly interested in those associated with clinical practice, ethics and counselling psychology.
