Dr Thompson complies with UK data protection requirements to accept referrals from public authorities and public bodies. This includes Zoom for Healthcare, Professional Liability Indemnity Insurance, Enhanced DBS, Data Protection Officer and GDPR compliance.

Online Therapy is available through Zoom (for Healthcare) if you live anywhere within the UK.  
Traditional face-to-face counselling and psychological services are available for those who wish to attend 'in person'.  Traveling to The Aztec Centre tends to be convenient for those in the South West & South Wales.

​​Dr. Thompson is an experienced rehabilitation therapist for several national rehabilitation services.  She has worked with many case managers on multiple occasions for clients involved in personal injury claims experiencing trauma symptoms, brain injury, physical injury, social, emotional and behavioural difficulties.

Dr Thompson is not currently offering medico-legal report services at this time.

Do you, a relative, a partner, a colleague or employee need to see a Psychologist urgently for a single session, short term therapy (1 - 6 sessions) medium term therapy (6 to 24 sessions) or long term therapy (25 to 156 sessions)? 

You can stop therapy at any time.  Dr Thompson is a reflective,  scientist practitioner who works to contract in an ethical and professional,  evidence-based way to address your goals within the timeframes you and the clinical guidelines set.  Maria will continue to offer treatment sessions only for as long as there is a clinical rational or therapeutic reason to do so.
 
Next day appointments are available when possible.  ​
You can self refer or Professionals, Relatives and Caregivers can make a referral with the person's permission.  Call or email to discuss your needs further.​

Solicitors and Case Managers are welcome to request a quotation, CV, terms and conditions for Assessments or as the treating Rehabilitation Therapist to address their client's needs.
